2018 AOD Stakeholders Conference

2018 AOD Stakeholders Conference

On March 20, 2018, UConn Student Health, Counseling and Wellness hosted the AOD Stakeholders Call to Action conference in response to growing national awareness and concern about alcohol and other drug problems on college campuses. The conference was the kick-off event for an initiative to create a safer and healthier UConn campus with the goal of preventing and reducing harm related to alcohol and other drug use.

A comprehensive AOD campus-wide effort requires many invested partners.  This community coalition approach requires interested stakeholders to come together to form a shared action plan with the ultimate goal of enhancing the UConn college experience and supporting student success, both in and out of the classroom. To that end, four prevention committees were launched during the AOD Stakeholders Call to Action conference and will meet monthly.
